Weekend Playtime:

Weekend Playtime is the perfect opportunity for your dog to socialise, learn a wide variety of skills and behaviours that will last them a lifetime… and all while having fun!

During our Weekend Playtime your dog will be given the opportunity to socialise with other dogs and have great fun making new friends. It will also give you, as a dog owner, the chance to speak with other doggy parents, our friendly staff and gain a greater knowledge of what may be best for your much-loved pet, as well as any handy tips or tricks which you can take away and apply to everyday life with your dog.

We believe that socialisation is one of the most important experiences you can give your dog and at Beechgrove we have different play areas to suit all types of dogs and their play skills, our play areas are used to match dogs by size, nature, and capabilities.

When contacting us to book your dog into a playgroup: we will ask you a little about your dog first, this is to help us advise which playgroup we feel will best suit your dog’s needs. The playgroup we suggest for you and your dog will give them the opportunity to make furry friends of the same confidence level, size, age group, and play capabilities. By dividing the play areas, we have created a safer, more suitable environment for your dog to play and learn. Each playgroup is supervised by friendly, experienced, and qualified staff members.

If you may require any advice or assistance just look out for one of our staff dressed in bright orange - You won’t miss us! Here at Beechgrove, our aim is for your dog to have fun! However, as our priority is the safety of both you and your dog, we ask that you please follow staff guidance during your visit.

For the safety of your own dog:

  • If you are planning to book in a non-neutered male dog over the age of 10 months into a playgroup, we ask that you please make us aware when booking.
  • Females in heat should not be brought to playgroups but are still welcome to enjoy individual playtime at Private Appointments. Once again, we ask that you please make us aware when booking.
  • Pregnant dogs should not be brought to the Dog Park except for Private Appointments.
  • If your dog shows any type of intimidating behaviours or aggression when playing or around other dogs in general, then the playgroups at the Doggy Park may not be the best first option for your pooch.
If you are unsure of your dog’s social behaviours and how they may react in a playgroup environment then please do not hesitate to contact us to discuss further on how we can help, we have lots of other options – Private Play with a Short Social Assessment, Behavioural Assessment & 1-2-1 Training, Specialised Socialisation Groups or even Private Play with a group of your dog’s own friends.
