Puppy Hour:

A special playgroup for our very young and shy puppies to kick-start their socialisation with other dogs in a controlled and safe environment.

With much smaller numbers attending this playgroup of friends more suited to their age and size, we’re setting our puppies up to have successful interactions with other dogs - all starting to develop those important friend-making skills and building up confidence in new environments.

Puppy hour is not a training class - we focus on social skills in this group, with guidance from the trainer and staff supervising our puppies to help our owners understand how to help their pups feel their most confident, and how to step in and gain their pup’s focus as needed too. With a balance of thinking breaks/games to encourage calmness around others and off-lead playtime Puppy Hour is a great way of encouraging our dogs to have positive responses around others, and helping our humans prevent social issues from occurring later in life.

Puppy Training Classes:

A 6 Week Course that covers the basic life skills we all want to teach our pups – Recall, Loose Lead Walking, Focus and Manners. Whilst also teaching our human students a little more about their dog’s learning processes and how to communicate effectively with their puppies.

The skills taught on this course will help puppy owners to handle new situations throughout their dogs’ lives and to give their puppies the best start on training for any new behaviours and activities as they grow and learn.

We’ll also be making the training processes fun and applicable through games and challenges that help our puppy owners measure their progress over the weeks!

These classes are entirely positive reinforcement based, using methods scientifically proven to be the most effective, whilst also creating a kind and confident working bond between our pups and their humans.

The classes are led by a qualified and insured trainer with over a decade experience working with dogs (and puppies in particular), with certification and knowledge in many aspects of Doggy Life. This means that during our class time Q&A is available to talk through any queries you may have with your pup, from training and behaviour to health and nutrition.

The classes will have a maximum of 6 puppies per group to make sure everyone gets the attention and help they may need.
